How to Calculate your APS at TUT
How to Calculate your APS at TUT
So, you’re excited to attend Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) as a student? The APS calculation is one of the things you should know before sending your application form to TUT.
The abbreviation APS stands for Admission Point Score. Universities in South Africa utilize APS points as one of the tools for determining if applicants are qualified for their programs. TUT uses an APS calculation that is unique to the university. Applicants can use it to calculate their score.
To be eligible for a given program, applicants must have a minimal APS or fall within the testing band. In general, you will receive points for each matric topic for which you write an exam.
Add your six top subjects, excluding Life Orientation, to get your APS.
The number of points you receive for each course is determined on the percentage you score in that subject.
The overall points you acquire from each course make up your APS score.
Please keep in mind that meeting the bare minimal criteria may not be enough to get you into your selected degree program, so strive for the maximum possible grades.
