What You Need Before you Can Apply University of South Africa (UNISA) Application Form 2023

In order to apply to UNISA Application 2023, you must provide the following supporting documents for your application to process.

  • a copy of your high school diploma (Senior or National Senior Certificate)
  • RSA Applicants: a copy of your ID documents and Passport ID (International Applicants)
  • If necessary, a copy of your official tertiary academic records
  • If the documents are not in English or Afrikaans, a sworn translation is required.
  • If applicable, a copy of your marriage certificate or divorce decree

The University of South Africa (UNISA) Application Form Fees 2023

Once you have obtained a student number from the University of South Africa, you must pay an online application charge of R115 and a hard copy application fee of R185.

For banking and payment information, go to https://unisalogin.com/unisa-payment-methods/. Please note that this cost is non-refundable if you decide not to study at UNISA, do not meet the entrance standards, or are not awarded a space due to a lack of available spaces.

The application fee deadline for UNISA is the same as the application deadline for 2023. If you submit an application without paying the application fee on time, your application will be rejected. Please preserve a copy of your receipt as proof of payment.

Please note:

  • If you want to take a vacation from your studies, you must ask for a deferment in writing (using DSAR form 26). (ie you are unable to continue with your studies in a particular semester or year).  * To apply for an exam deferment, do not utilize DSAR form 26.

Registration confirmation Please log in to myUnisa. Select “myAdmin,” “Edit Registration,” “Request Registration Letter,” and “Request Letter” from the drop-down menus. Your myLife e-mail account will get a secure PDF document. To open the secure PDF, enter your ID number or passport number.
DSAR02 Log in to myUnisa to request the addition or cancellation of study units. Select “myAdmin” and “Edit Registration” from the drop-down menu.
DSAR03 Log in to myUnisa to update your mailing address and phone number. Choose “myAdmin,” “Biographical Details,” and “Update Address Details” from the drop-down menus.

To apply for an exemption of study units (for undergraduate qualifications only), login to myUnisa, click on “myAdmin”, “Student Admin” and “Apply for Exemptions”.

DSAR06 Log into myUnisa to request study unit additions or cancellations. Select “myAdmin,” “Student Admin,” and “Final semester – Request to exceed max number of courses (DSAR06)” from the drop-down menu.
DSAR07 To apply for re-admission to register for an undergraduate qualification only, login to myUnisa, click on “myAdmin”, “Student Admin” and “Re-admission”.
