- Applicants applying for a TVET College via UNISA will use a hardcopy application, which costs R160.

Admissions Requirements for UNISA

- Students who finished Grade 12 at the ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) School of Tomorrow may no longer be accepted to Unisa.
- Certain Unisa qualifications have a restricted number of spots available. Meeting the program’s general and/or specific admission standards does not guarantee you a position for the 2023-2024 academic year.

NRF Postgraduate Student Funding 2023-2024
- The deadline for master’s and doctoral applications is July 17, 2023.
- The deadline for internal applications (SARAO honors call) is August 7, 2023.
- Internal deadline (NRF honors call): November 27, 2023.
This call for applications has been issued by the National Research Foundation (NRF).
Application Process
All applications must be submitted online via the NRF application system at https://nrfsubmission.nrf.ac.za/.
Applications that are late or incomplete would be rejected.
The master’s and doctoral degree qualification process has improved. Universities will assess and vet applications before they are submitted to the NRF.
The Application Fee must be paid
Check the correct amount and either EFT or pay it at the bank. It should never be made public. The university should receive proof of payment.
Acceptance by UNISA
Your approval will be communicated to you via formal email or text. Continue to do everything you can to make the required upfront deposit before the deadline.
Important Notice: To determine your academic readiness, most universities will ask you to take an NBT exam. Always double-check with the institution you’re applying to to determine if an NBT result is required. Your NBT results are valid for three years, and if you’re applying to multiple colleges, you only need to take the exam once.
